It wasn’t easy, but the Virginia Cavaliers were able to get by the UNC-Wilmington 76-71 in the first round of the NCAA Tourament Thursday. The Cavs lead most of the second half, but never were comfortable, as the Seahawks got as close as 2 points down with 53 seconds left before UVA pulled away.  The first half was a different story.  UNCW started off hot and at one point led by 15 points with under 10 minutes to go until halftime. UVA ended up going into the locker room with a 1-point lead, but when the Seahawks were up big, people were giving the Cavs the business on twitter…

Here’s a couple of folks who got ahead of themselves during the first half when UNCW was up big, then realized they jumped the gun after UVA went on a 12-0 run shortly thereafter to cut the lead to 1…

And of course, like always, rational viewers tuned in and weighed in on Virginia’s first half deficit…
