The VCU Rams are apparently the luckiest team ever.
On Saturday night, VCU was trailing St. Bonaventure by one after the Bonnies hit a three pointer with .5 seconds left in regulation. But immediately after the shot, the Bonnies were hit with a technical foul because their fans stormed the court prematurely. VCU was awarded one free throw, which it made, and forced overtime where the Rams won by 6.
Wednesday night against George Washington, VCU had similar luck. Down 2 with 10 seconds left, Colonels guard Yutu Watanabe hit a 3-pointer that appeared to give GW the win at the buzzer…

The GW fans, like the St. Bonaventure fans Saturday night, rushed the floor after Watanabe’s shot. The court storm seemed premature but a technical wasn’t assessed against GW. Twitter declared GW the victors…
