The New York Jets stink. After tonight’s 41-10 loss to the Colts, they are now 3-9 and officially eliminated from playoff contention. Here are some people thought they would be really good…
During one July segment of Mike and Mike in the Morning, ESPN’s Mike Greenberg went through a touch screen of the entire Jets schedule, and came up with this…

Radio host Jeffrey Gorman was all in on the Jets…

The Patriots were on notice after Ex-Jet Ladanian Tomlinson picked the Jets to win the AFC East…

Here’s something from Fox Sports Radio’s Jason Smith…

Fox Sports’ Jason McIntyre also had high aspirations for this Jets team…

Michael Smith of ESPN’s His and Hers thought the Jets would represent the AFC in the Super Bowl…

This was a rather humorous hedge…
I think the Jets are going to win the AFC East this year. If they do, I will retweet this triumphantly. If not, what tweet, you're crazy!

And, of course, when Tom Brady was serving his 4 game suspension to start the season, and Patriots backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo went down during week 2, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News made this rather bold declaration…
Column: With Garoppolo out, Jets will be in 1st place in AFC East by the time Brady returns https://t.co/8vic8YXcxu pic.twitter.com/PZtY9meh8T

When Brady returned from suspension, the Patriots were in first place in the East with a 3-1 record. The Jets currently have 3 wins total.
It’s safe to say the Jets will come into next season with less hype.
