A few of Sunday’s NFL games produced some great reactionary tweets and cold takes…
CHIEFS 29 FALCONS 28
Despite a sluggish Chiefs start and the Falcons holding a slim lead much of the first half, the Chiefs won 29-28 in a thriller.
The Falcons scoring a TD on the game’s opening drive was enough for some to make definitive judgments about the Chiefs’ prospects for the rest of the game.
The answer to how Chiefs would play today after OT on Sunday night: Not Good

At the end of the 1st Quarter, the Falcons lead 10-6, but the Chiefs looked sloppy and were committing a ton of penalties. Confidence was low among Chiefs supporters…
It's clear the Chiefs are having a letdown game. Can they just get on the plane now and make sure they don’t get anyone hurt for Oakland?

Ok that was sarcastic, but there is some truth to every joke! There was also some self reflection…

Even in the 4th Quarter, Mr. Allen wasn’t convinced…

The Chiefs pulled it off, and won. Putting Mr. Petro at ease…
Huge win for the Chiefs. Coming off the win at Denver and looking ahead to the Raiders… MONSTER WIN for the Chiefs.

RAIDERS 38 BILLS 24
The Bills essentially dominated the Raiders for the first two and a half quarters of this game. But after Buffalo took a 24-9 lead in the third quarter, the Bills had an epic meltdown. The Raiders rattled off 29 straight points to win 38-24.
At the end of the first quarter the score was tied 3-3. However, that was enough of a sample size for one to draw a near opinion about the streaking Raiders…
After all the hype, Raiders might be the third-best team in their own division.
— Jerry Sullivan (@ByJerrySullivan) December 4, 2016
The Bills surged ahead 24-9 during the 3rd quarter, prompting a few to give themselves a pat on the back for having enough foresight earlier in the week to predict that the Bills would win…

Y’all should check out my periscope. Called the Bills beating the Raiders and Chiefs winning the AFC West. https://t.co/SNDz1tE0ai

Gotta give props to your pals too…
Vic Carucci told me the Bills could blow the Raiders out today. I should have listened to him.
— Jerry Sullivan (@ByJerrySullivan) December 4, 2016
Few expected a Raiders comeback…
Another awful 3rd Q for the Raiders. Hard to see a comeback happening today.
— Deuce Mason (@DeuceMason) December 4, 2016
Keep believing next time, Deuce…
They looked DEAD! This Raiders team is so crazy.

BEARS 26 49ERS 6
The Bears and 49ers were playing in the snow and the game was almost unwatchable. With three wins between them, both teams were very much eligible for that second draft pick, but otherwise the game had no other relevant implications. After the Niners jumped out to a 6-0 lead, the Bears rolled off 26 unanswered points to win 26-6.
There was skepticism about the Bears chances with Matt Barkley starting at QB in the snow…
Matt Barkley would be one of the last qbs in the league id want playing for me in these conditions
— John Middlekauff (@JohnMiddlekauff) December 4, 2016
At the beginning of the 2nd quarter the game was scoreless and neither team had even completed a pass. In fairness, both teams weren’t attempting many passes due to the weather conditions; and according to Pro Football Talk, refusing to pass was “good for everyone.” Other opinions were expressed…
#Bears may not know it but they are doing a great job of tanking… Intentional or not.
— Aaron Leming (@AaronLemingNFL) December 4, 2016
#Bears haven't run any wildcat this season or I'd suggest they start running it with Howard as QB. I can't see Barkley doing much throwing.
— Jeff Deeney (jeffdeeney on Threads) (@PFF_Jeff) December 4, 2016
A 49ers field goal gave them a 6-0 lead with 1:56 left in the half. While the Niners were off the schnide, the Bears still hadn’t completed a pass. The jokes were flying in…
Hard to see #Bears coming back from 6-0 down here #sfvschi
— Ben Isaacs (see pinned tweet) (@tweetsfromben) December 4, 2016
Dawson is good, 49ers take a 6-0 lead. #Insurmountable
— Niners Nation (@NinersNation) December 4, 2016
Then something clicked for Barkley. He lead the Bears down the field 81 yards and a touchdown in the final two minutes of the half. The Bears never looked back after that. Barkley finished the game 11 for 18 and 192 yards. During the second half, not even an hour after he completed his first pass of the game, some Bears supporters were feeling confusion and bewilderment about Barkley’s performance. They began to question all of their previous conceptions about the former USC star…
Is Matt Barkley good?
— Matt Eurich (@MattEurich) December 4, 2016
Im so confused over Barkley.
— Silvy (@WaddleandSilvy) December 4, 2016
Could Matt Barkley really be better than Colin Kaepernick? Just kidding… But seriously.
— Aaron Leming (@AaronLemingNFL) December 4, 2016
Barkley’s performance may have been enough to prove he is a starting QB in the league…
Bears' Matt Barkley 'showing the world' he can be a starting QB in the NFL – https://t.co/U5JXunVJtY #BearsTalk
— Bears Talk (@NBCSBears) December 4, 2016
The jury is still out on that one.
