It took him 19 years, and a lot of heartbreak, but Sergio Garcia finally won a major as he won the 2017 Masters championship Sunday holding off Justin Rose in a final round that had to go to a 73rd hole. The 37-year old Garcia, who has had a tremendous career, was missing a major tournament victory to make it all complete. Throughout the years, Garcia had come close to winning many majors, but ended up falling short each time; many times due to a poor final round. So it is no surprise that many declared that he would never win a major tournament. Let’s review…

@acoyne Sergio will never win a major. He's Colin Montgomery. Lots of game, waay too much whine.

That is exactly why Sergio has never, and never will, won/win a major. #playerschampionship
