The LSU Tigers baseball crushed Oregon State 6-1 Saturday afternoon in Omaha to advance to the College World Series Finals. The win completed an impressive climb by the Tigers out of the brink of elimination. After the Beavers destroyed the LSU 13-1 on Monday night, the Tigers won three straight games in as many days to win their bracket, including two straight over Oregon St, who were 56-4 on the season before Friday.
This result was far from expected. After LSU suffered the blowout loss Monday night, many took to twitter to proclaim that the Oregon St. was unstoppable and that LSU was dead in the water. Here are a few of the tweets…
