Today we say happy anniversary to the one and only Magic Johnson, who joined the realm of the Twittersphere exactly six years ago today!

Over the course of the last six years, Johnson has used his Twitter account to share a number of opinions and thoughts, although many would suggest the stuff Magic was putting out in 140 characters or fewer has been far from magical, whimsical or even insightful. Johnson has been more likely to be dubbed Captain Obvious with some of his opinions being shared on Twitter.

Like, for instance, his take on the NBA Finals last season in which Magic suggested LeBron James and Kyrie Irving may have to play well in order to win a Game 7 of the NBA Finals…

There was also his reaction where he said the Golden State Warriors were clearly missing a key ingredient…

Here are some other brilliant observations from the NBA playoffs last year…

Magic’s expert opinion has not been limited to playoff thoughts as you can see from this highly informative tweet about the Lakers in the NBA Draft…

This just in! Coaches must coach well in Game 7…

Hey Magic, why did the Heat beat the Pacers?

What about when it comes time to discuss free agents? Magic thinks teams should pursue some of the best available options, like Kevin Durant…

Also, Chris Paul is pretty good according to Magic…

Give Magic credit for nailing this one about Kawhi Leonard during one of Leonard’s performances in the 2014 NBA Finals, where he was awarded MVP…

Polls of all sorts have been criticized as of late, but it’s hard to argue with this one.

Yes, Magic. I’m sure every coach in the league would be more than happy to find some playing time for LeBron James if they had him on their roster. Of course, LeBron can’t do it all alone.

Injuries to key players? They are bad, according to Magic.

Speaking of the Lakers, a few years later, Magic did not pull back any punches about the state of the team…

But Magic is well versed in the sports scene and is not limited to just NBA comments. He also is into his Dodgers…

OK, let’s go somewhere else. How about college football?

Nailed it. The Spartans won the Big 10 and made the College Football Playoff, and the Buckeyes finished 12-1. But for the sake of Magic, let’s not discuss what happened to his alma mater on the football field in 2016.

Magic has touched on the NFL as well.  Here is his scouting report for each of the 2016 conference championship games…

Finally, we’ll leave you with this gem, which is impossible to argue against…

We are all very much looking forward to what Twitter gems Magic dishes our way in his next year on Twitter. Don’t let us down, Magic!
